Trail Tales: Adventures in Hiking Boot Photography

Today we’re exploring lifestyle image scenes for hiking boots. The majority of hiking boots you see for sale online are from 3rd party brands, and come with a standard set of images on white backgrounds. Because shoe assortments are so big and turn so quickly it is rarely cost effective for the retailer to generate their own lifestyle images. That’s where we come in.

The products we’re working with today can all be found on countless websites worldwide. Nearly all of them share the same images with white backgrounds.

We like to start with aspirational scenes. Where do you want these boots to take you? Here’s what we came up with.

Here we tried to capture the boots against the backdrop of a breathtaking sunrise at the summit of a mountain. The warm hues and dramatic sky add a sense of adventure and achievement.

Lakeside Reflections

We’ve placed the boot near the edge of a calm lake during sunset, capturing the reflection of the mountains and trees in the water.

Forest Trail in Autumn

Here our boot finds itself on a forest trail covered with vibrant autumn leaves. Rich colors add warmth and a sense of seasonal coziness.
